it's been busy.

a few concerts coming up, activities @ work are increasing, say goodbye to random offs that may go up in flames soon.. :(

this week was kinda crazy. went out with edwin and dwayne after tuition on tues, went to clementi for reh on wed, another reh today at bukittimah, work upcoming at cch on sat morning and reh in the aft at bukittimah, anddddd aft reh at clementi on sunday.

yes. i know... but no i will not proclaim myself a band( or whatever) geek of any kind.

in other news, i feel that i seriously have been lagging on my practicing. marimba technique is finally back on track to pre alvls standard, before i chucked my mallets for books. though 2months was a tad long for getting back to that standard..

must really resolve to working even harder.

and i prolly am gonna go read up on playing the kompang since i'm likely to be playing that for the 2 overseas trips. i'm not complaning cause it's gonna be the lightest instrument among everybody :) ok i'm ignoring the piccolo, that's simply obscene by mass standards..

might as well right, since i should prolly aim to play as well as i could, which is near zilch at the moment as i have absolutely zero knowledge of the kompang 2 days ago before the first reading of the piece. oh after which i gained some knowledge about it after a 2 min crash course of kompang playing by fi and zi

ah well, must remind myself to look it up tonight.

and, i ought to go back to working on instrumental techniques as well instead of just focusing on mallets...

anyhow, i wonder how's everybody doing. those girls in university, needless to say, the guys are in army, which, obviously, there isnt muchhhh to say... so yeah.

oh yes. it's my student's SS prelim tmr. (my title was actually a reminder for me about this at the end of the post lol)

hope he does well. i had a shock of my life when i read the most recent essay i made him do as a timed practice. please do NOT write like that tmr..

(that saying, i think he'll prolly do well tmr. haha)
